Le Creuset makes fabulous pans with great reputations, but did you know they also makes a non-stick cast-iron wok? See it, right over there? On the left, in the red? Pretty, huh?
This wok is worlds above the rest for a few reasons. First, it’s made of cast iron, which gets really hot and heat is the key to successful stir frying. Well, that and wok ability, of which I have none. You can even put this wok in the oven safely and it won’t melt into a puddle.
The second reason this wok is superior is because it has a flat bottom, which means that more of the surface area of the pan is on the stove, so the wok cooks more evenly. Funny enough, I have a friend with a flat bottom and she hates it because her jeans don’t fit properly. She calls it her “pancake ass”, but we won’t go into that here.
