And then there were five: Debbie, Jamika, Melissa, Michael and Jeffrey are the survivors of this show which will create our next Food Network Star. Who will it be? Who do you want to see win?

I started out watching this show on a whim, not all that engaged, but now I am completely into it. I can’t wait to see who gets booted each week.  Who cries.  Who acts like an ass.  Who throws a fellow competitor under the bus.  So interesting to me and a few million of my closest friends.

So, last night the competitors had a quick mini challenge in which they had to cook a dish in 30 minutes… at the airport.  Huh?  The winner gets their dish on the menu.  Italian, American, French… regional cuisines.  At the airport.  Who rocked it?  Someone did.

Then they were all off to Miami for their real challenge at Eden Roc.  They have to cook for a cocktail party as a team.  Each group must cook a signature cocktail and two appetizers.  Jeffrey assigns roles and each contestant chooses appetizers of choice.  Lots of appetizers.  Lots of hustling.  Time crunch.  Serrano chili margaritas… ‘nough said.  Although, people were hungry… not enough food was served.  Hmmmmm.  Gotta have enough food for your cocktail party and beautiful presentation.  Pretty plates, like these, will help with that.   Watch to see who got kicked to the curb.
