How freakin’ cute is this Father’s Day creation the boys and I made? Looks like the genius of Bakerella, huh? And, it is. The whole thing is edible, apart from the “french fry” wrapper, of course. Bakerella’s version is a little more professional (as is her camera work), but we didn’t do too badly for a bunch of slackers.
How were we able to create such a work of art, you ask? Well, the answer is simple: time, patience and a great muffin tin. I’ve owned several muffin pans in my life. Actually, I currently own several muffin pans. The one I really love… my go-to pan, is this heavy duty muffin pan because I feel like it bakes more evenly and it cleans so easily. My first ever muffin pan was the inexpensive type. No non-stick… all stick. Eventually, I tossed it where it belonged… in the trash, and bought a sturdier pan.
This “hamburger and fries” cupcake / cookie extravaganza would be great for your next outdoor party. Think 4th of July project for the kids while the adults drink margaritas. Could totally work. Especially cute if the meal consists of sliders and fries.
