I was turned on to this fantastic sea salt, Real Salt, by Redmond in a…YES, a cooking class. It is a kosher sea salt that contains 50+ trace minerals, which reportedly help keep the body’s electrolytes in a healthy balance. It also tastes really good and contains nothing fake. Also, it’s a good bargain. Up my alley.
Browsing one day in my local cooking store, I came across this salt mill. So, I could be grinding my salt into smaller granules rather than just dumping it on my food in whole chucks? OK. Good thing I’m gifted in the blood pressure department.
After extensive research…well, I asked one friend…the peeps love William Bounds salt mills because they have a great reputation and the salt is crushed by a ceramic mechanism, which releases the flavor better. William Bounds makes salt mills in many styles, but we like this rainbow salt mill because its fun and sparkley. With these two boys, fun is a must at the dinner table…lest things spiral downward into a farting contest.
