Some cooks LOVE all kitchen gadgets and simply must have the latest and greatest. Me? I’m more on the other end of the spectrum, less is more. I make my pie crust with a fork. Really.
So, imagine my surprise when I realized that I MUST have a food processor to continue living. I had this epiphany during a cooking class at Whole Foods in which we used the mother of all food processors – the KitchenAid bad-ass food processor – yes, that is the actual model number.
This thing does everything except buy your groceries and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! So, now you know that I bought one. Of course, that was after I read all reviews known to mankind and guess what? They all recommend the various models of the KitchenAid as the AWESOME food processor that it is.
KitchenAid makes a 7-cup, 9-cup and 12-cup capacity processor in some cool colors and finishes priced from around $100 to around $300. I have the 9-cup and it fits all I need. Most come with these features:
- Standard blade, dough blade & shredding disk
- Four cup mini bowl with mini blade which transforms the food processor into a mini chopper
- Large feed tube to accommodate oversize ingredients
- High-performance induction motor that makes chopping and processing a breeze
You can find one to love at Amazon.com.
